And please wait for our response as we schedule appointments to meet our pets.<br/><br/>Pet info, adoption cost/detail information below:<br/>PET DESCRIPTION: Scooter is eight-months-old (as of mid-Oct) male Bloodhound/German Shepherd mix pup, should be in the 60 lb range when fully grown. He is a hoot - typical bloodhound in being head strong since he wants to follow his nose. A well fenced yard is an absolute or he will be GONE. But, Scooter is also pretty laid back in attitude. Loves everyone, 'go with the flow' kind of temperament.' Scooter has the German Shepherd brains. He also really likes Air Conditioning so he doesn't want to live outside most of the time.<br/><br/>DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch (and we register the chip at time of the adoption); certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. Humane Society of Elmore County's Adoption Policy
Our adoption fees are $100 for dogs & $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian. We do have an Application & Appointment process to help make sure our pet is a good fit for you and you for our pet. The link below will take you to our Adoption Application. Once your application is approved we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet & adopt the pet. This process works much better for you, for our staff and for our pets as we can focus on you during your appointment. For those wanting to surrender a pet we also ask that you call to set up an appointment.
