26Whitney's Story

Meet Whitney!

Female

Border Collie/mix

Approx. 3 yrs. old

Approx. 42 lbs.

Whitney is a happy dog. Once she gets to know you she loves to be pet. She loves other dogs and is more confident with another dog. She loves to play and chase tennis balls. Whitney sleeps quietly in a crate all night. She is also housetrained using a doggy door. She can be a bit shy of some men. Overall this girl will make a great addition to some lucky family.

In addition to her special personality, you’ll notice she has a unique little quirk, one of her legs/paws looks a bit different. This is likely due to past trauma or something genetic. We have completed x-rays and veterinary consults, and at this time surgery is not recommended unless she begins consistently dragging it or chewing at it. It’s simply something for an adoptive family to be aware of. To help keep her comfortable long-term, she would benefit from joint supplements and a high-quality diet, which may come with some additional cost.

If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org

This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue. Meet and greets are 11:00 - 1:00.

Our address is:

4131 S Shingle Rd suite 14
Shingle Springs, CA

Please bring all resident dogs and children that live in the household to the meet and greet.

Our adult dog adoption fee is $350 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card) and fee for pups under 4 months old is $400 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card).
