Meet 26-Elsa<br/>Spayed female<br/>Breed: mixed - chihuahua, min pin, daschund, havanese, and jack Russel<br/>Age: 6 months, born 6/23/25<br/>Weight: 15 pounds<br/>Crate trained: yes, at night<br/>Leash trained: working on it<br/>House trained: working on it<br/>Cats: no, per prior owner<br/>Kids: unknown but expect yes<br/><br/>Meet this sweet girl!<br/>Elsa is a truly special dog—sweet, smart, and incredibly affectionate. She loves being close to her people and is happiest snoozing on a warm lap after a little playtime. She has an exuberant, loving nature that makes her a bundle of fun and cuddles.<br/>Like any young dog, she has bursts of playful puppy energy. She delights in zoomies, proudly collects her toys, and enjoys chewing on them (especially when she’s feeling playful or excited). Afterward, she settles beautifully and is content to relax nearby.<br/>She does well being independent when her person is home and can comfortably entertain herself around the house. That said, she’s still learning that being alone is safe. She previously hadn’t been left alone much and finds kennels stressful when I’m not near, but she does well being left free in the house<br/>She’s does great with potty training using a dog door with no flap. She hasn’t quite figured out how to push through a flap yet, so that will take some practice.<br/>She has done well with a friend’s dog who did not want to play and handled the situation appropriately. She may still have some puppy nipping, so she would be best suited for a home with children ages 5 and older.<br/>She enjoys walks and walks nicely on a loose leash in the house and backyard but pulls on neighborhood walks as they are still over stimulating. But she is already showing improvement with consistent practice and guidance.<br/>She’s a loving, playful companion who will thrive in a home ready to continue her training— she is smart and eager to learn. she will reward you with lots of affection and cozy lap naps.<br/><br/><br/>If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org<br/><br/>This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue.
