250678 Yeti's Story

Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!

Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!

Pet Description: Yeti is a four-five-year-old male Great Pyrenees. When he came to us in May he had almost no fur, his skin was red and pink everywhere, his eyes were matted and he was miserable. The Vet diagnosed him with bacterial infections in his skin as a result of long-term issues that were never treated. He has been on courses of medication since he has been with us and, five months in, his coat is growing back and his skin is recovering. The pinkness went away within days once he started on meds and flea treatment. He is nearing the end of treatments as we get into October & would love nothing more than a loving home who would never again let him get into this poor of a condition.
Yeti is reveling in all the attention he gets (which includes lots of medicated baths) and is a really wonderful dog. Now we know he lived with another smaller, elderly dog but in our kennels he is not too keen on sharing his space. He might be best as an only dog but might just also depend on the dog.
We cannot wait to see Yeti with a whole new lease on life being the handsome & loved Pyrenees he is supposed to be.

DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).

The first step is to our Adoption Application here: https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .
