She is finally discovering what puppyhood is supposed to feel like.<br/><br/>For the first 18 months of her life, Roxy was isolated and neglected. She developed a horrible skin condition because she simply wasn’t being cared for.<br/><br/>But somehow, through all of that, this girl never lost her ability to love.<br/><br/>Today, Roxy LOVES people. She loves dogs. She even loves cats. She is loyal, incredibly smart, and has enough enthusiasm for life to power a small city.<br/><br/>She is also a LOT of dog. <br/><br/>Roxy is rambunctious, playful, and still learning that her body is, in fact, considerably larger than she seems to think it is. She would probably accidentally flatten a small child in her excitement, so she’s looking for a home with older children or adults.<br/><br/>She has recently discovered that couches are apparently a thing.<br/><br/>She climbs up.<br/><br/>She cuddles.<br/><br/>She looks around like a fish who has somehow been placed on dry land.<br/><br/>She’s still learning this whole “being loved and getting comfortable” business, but she’s catching on quickly. <br/><br/>Her fur is growing back beautifully, and it’s now soft and shiny. She’s learning to give kisses. She’s learning to take treats. She’s learning that humans can be trusted to care for her.<br/><br/>And she is absolutely LOVING her new life.<br/><br/>Roxy must have a securely fenced yard with a 6-foot fence. This isn’t negotiable because this smart girl needs to stay safe.<br/><br/>She also really needs a playful dog close to her size. Roxy would LOVE a canine sibling who can keep up with her zoomies, wrestling matches, and general “WE ARE HAVING FUN WHETHER YOU ARE READY OR NOT” attitude.<br/><br/>Her perfect person isn’t someone looking for a perfectly polished dog.<br/><br/>She’s looking for someone who will say:<br/><br/>“You missed the first part of your life. That’s okay.
