1101 Elsie's Story

Elsie is fostered in Columbia, Missouri.

Meet Elsie, the sweet soul. Looking for a loyal little shadow who just wants to be close to you? This tiny Havanese is the definition of a lapdog. The moment you sit down, she'll be right there, snuggled up and soaking in all the love. She absolutely adores being held and would happily spend her day in your arms or carried around like the little princess she is.

Because of her very petite size, Elsie will need close supervision when outdoors—she's small enough to slip through tight spaces, and even large birds could pose a risk. A safe, attentive home is ideal for this girl. We do highly recommend a physically fenced yard.

Elsie isn't quite housebroken yet, but she shows great potential when she is taken out on a regular basis! She keeps her playpen dry for up to 7 hours overnight, and with a consistent routine and a patient, committed adopter, she can absolutely learn. If you're ready for a sweet, affectionate companion who just wants to be by your side, Elsie might be the perfect match for you.

Elsie is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. She is also receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of purchase of heartworm prevention for all current or previous pets is required to adopt from our rescue.

NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application. We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family. MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives. www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org
