1027 Zuzu NKA Gracie's Story

Zuzu now named Gracie is being fostered in St Louis MO

Gracie is a joyful, spirited little firecracker with a heart as big as her energy level. At just four months old, this red tri Aussie girl is already bursting with personality — equal parts playful, cuddly, and delightfully mischievous. She is a 4 month old, red tri female australian shepherd puppy, who will likely be around 40-50 lbs full grown.

What Makes Gracie Shine: Bones? Completely obsessed. Fetch with tennis balls? She'll keep the game going as long as you will. Other dogs? Yes, please! Splashing in water? Pure bliss. Snuggles at the end of the day? Absolutely.

Gracie is a puppy, so she is currently high-energy, curious, and always ready for her next adventure. Once her exercise needs are met, she happily melts into cuddle mode. She can be a little shy when first meeting men, but with gentle reassurance help her warm up quickly.

Gracie had limited exposure to the outdoors and trained on puppy pads. She is being trained to handle her business outdoors, where it is appropriate so she will need to remain on a schedule. Gracie is crate trained and great on a leash. She loves long walks and especially when those walks involve getting love from neighbors. She additionally loves kids, which is currently her favorite thing to do in the morning - greeting the kiddos at the school bus stopp for pets.

Gracie will require a family who understands the mental and physical requirements of a typical herding puppy. Gracie is looking for a family who will embrace her enthusiasm, guide her as she learns, and give her the love and socialization to help her become a well-rounded girl. If you're ready for a lively, loving Aussie who will keep you laughing, Gracie might just be your perfect match.

Zuzu AKA Gracie is microchipped, up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. She does require a committed adopter who is willing to devote 1 - 2 hours of mental and physical stimulation per day. Our rescue requires proof of heartworm preventatives for all current and previos pets.

NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application. We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family. MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives. www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org
