0987 Giddy's Story
Giddy is fostered in Story City, IA

Hello everyone, my name is Giddy, but feel free to call me Gidders, Gid, or Itty Bitty Giddy - that one just gets me super pumped for some reason. I am a 3.5 old Mini Aussie, weighing in at 22 pounds. I am a retired breeder surrender, which is just a fancy way of saying I'm a lucky pup who got out of the breeding game early. I've had a couple of litters of pups, but now I'm living my best life in a foster home with my foster Mom and Dad, two doggy siblings, and Grandma. I'm totally obsessed with all of them.

I take my job of herding the little dog very seriously, even if I do get in trouble for it....she's just too tiny for me, at 9 pounds and having a major diva complex. I try not to nudge her, but I just can't help myself. Luckily, my foster home has a huge backyard where I can run laps to my heart's content, and my Mom thinks an acreage would be paw-fect for me. Heck, I could even help round up chickens if you've got any.

As a former mommy, I didn't get much training so I am learning to be a big girl, sleeping in my kennel in the bedroom and only making tiny little whines when I hear someone stirring at 7 am. Don't worry, I don't resource guard my food - I eat in the kitchen with the family dogs and we all take turns cleaning up after ourselves. I have learned A LOT since coming into rescue and I would like to find my own adoptive family where I can continue being the pampered princess. If you think you might have an interest in me, please have your people get in touch with my people so we can chat.

Giddy is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. She does require a committed adopter who is willing to continue her socialization and required exercise routine. We do require proof of purchase for heartworm preventatives on any prior and current pets.

NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application. We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family. MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives. www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org
