Despite coming from a challenging background alongside his siblings, he has made remarkable progress and continues to blossom with consistent care, socialization, love and patience.<br/><br/>Willy is highly intelligent and eager to learn. He tends to bond more quickly with women, though he can warm up to men in a calm, low activity home. He may also do well with older, dog savvy children who can provide a gentle and understanding environment. We recommend children over 10. <br/><br/>Willy enjoys the company of other dogs and is also cat friendly. He would thrive in a home with another confident, playful canine companion. He is crate trained, and his crate serves as his safe space. A crate in forever home will be a MUST at the beginning. We also HIGHLY recommend a fenced yard because he will be a flight risk at first until he bonds to his humans. In his foster home, he has gotten off leash priviledges on hikes and walks through the countryside. <br/><br/>Overall, Willie is a sweet, sensitive, goofy boy who simply needs time, reassurance, and steady, positive exposure to new experiences to help him discover all the joys the world has to offer.<br/><br/>Willy is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.
