Dottie AKA Bailey is being fostered in Mundelein IL<br/><br/>Bailey is beautiful standard blue merle Australian Shepherd. She weighs 51lbs. and is 7 years old. She was born on December 18, 2015. This total sweetheart is a bit shy and timid, but that&#39;s because she is a breeder release and didn&#39;t experience much of the world outside of the breeding compound she was housed in. She likes a soft gentle touch and enjoys a calm gentle human. Her eyes say it all. <br/><br/>She walks well on leash, is house trained, crate trained and her crate is her safe space. She doesn&#39;t chew up anything in the house and would probably be ok left out of the crate when her humans are not home, but she likes her crate and sometimes will just go lay in it when the door is open for her down time. Bailey is SUPER sweet and she is the kind of dog where if she gets scared of something, she will just go in her crate and hide. <br/><br/>Because Bailey wasn&#39;t exposed to a ton of human attention besides the people she knew at the breeding facility, we think she would do best without rambunctious children in her forever home. We think a home with children 12 and older would be fine for her. She needs a fenced in yard and a human that will dote on her and love her. She is being fostered with 2 other dogs and does great with them. She likes other dogs, but isn&#39;t super playful with them. Bailey is calm and low key. She rides great in the car and walk calmly on leash. On a scale of 1-10 for energy she is a 4 or 5. <br/><br/>Bailey had a dental, was spayed, is up to date on vaccinations and is negative for all tick borne diseases including heartworm. Bailey is also on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Bailey is ready for the rest of her life to be loving, rewarding, and caring.
