ZOE's Story

Meet Zoe, the sweet senior calico! Zoe arrived at the Shelter after her previous guardian was moving out of state and unable to bring her with. Zoe has been around young children in her previous home and would greet people with a “meow”. Zoe would be best in a home as the only cat as she is not a fan of the ones she has met in passing. She was indoors primarily in her previous home but may enjoy a catio set up where she can access the outdoors in a safe, enriching way. She used the litterbox reliably in her previous home. Zoe’s adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to Shelley’s Angels – a fund that draws adopter’s eyes towards often overlooked senior cats in Shelters. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
