Ziggy's Story
Ziggy first came to us after his owner sadly lost their housing. After waiting nearly two years for a family, he was finally adopted, but unfortunately, it wasn't the right fit. He was returned because he didn't get along with the resident cat. We know that's disappointing, but we'd rather be honest and help Ziggy find the home where he'll truly thrive.

While Ziggy has peacefully coexisted with other cats at the shelter, he tends to prefer quiet, submissive feline companions and isn't a fan of more dominant personalities. Because of this, we think he'd be happiest as the only cat in the home, where he can relax and enjoy all the attention for himself.

Since returning to the shelter, Ziggy seems depressed. After getting a taste of home life again, it's been hard for him to adjust back to shelter living. Watching him wait all over again is incredibly difficult, especially because he has so much love to give.

A generous anonymous supporter was so touched by Ziggy's story that they covered his adoption fee. Now all he needs is someone willing to give him the second chance he deserves.

Ziggy's wishlist is simple: a cozy bed, a sunny window where he can watch the birds, and a person to call his own. He's a calm, laid-back boy who enjoys long naps, peaceful days, and cuddles when the mood strikes.

Ziggy is front-paw declawed (a decision made before he came to us), so when he's feeling scared or overwhelmed, he may use his mouth to communicate since he doesn't have his primary means of defense. With patience, understanding, and a calm environment, he quickly learns to trust and becomes a wonderfully affectionate companion.

After nearly two years in our care, Ziggy is once again waiting for someone to choose him. This time, we're hoping it's forever!
