Ziggy's Story

Meet our adorable and sweet Ziggy! Just look at that precious face and cute white markings, especially on his nose! His adorableness is matched by his gentle and chill personality.

Ziggy loves his Churu treats, his catnip banana, and is recently very interested in toys. He likes to talk to humans, especially around dinner time. He chills on his current foster’s couch watching TV, and loves a good scratch pad.

Ziggy was living in his rescuer's yard when she noticed he was human friendly. He used to walk right up to her for Churu treats, letting her know he'd like to have a chance at a safe indoor life.

We found Ziggy a foster home and took him to our vet for a wellness check. Turns out that Ziggy is FIV-positive, which means his immune system can be a bit weaker than other kitties.

But cats with FIV can live a long and healthy life, safely indoors, even with other cats. He can share their water and food and play with them. FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds, so it breaks our heart to know he probably got it living outside when he was fighting for his life and food.

The good news is that Ziggy is now living the sweet indoor life with his foster mom and dad -- and is ready to be adopted!

He is still a bit shy with new humans, but we know he will blossom when someone has the love and patience to make him feel safe and let him come to them when he's ready to be a big mush!!

Can you be Ziggy's hero? Look at those eyes! He's ready to be loved!
