Zenobia's Story

Cat Whisperer Wanted!

Are you the person cats naturally gravitate toward? Do you appreciate cat body language and the quiet reward of earning a shy cat's trust? Zenobia might be the perfect match for you!

This beautiful 11⁄2-year-old girl was surrendered to a shelter with her kittens when her caretaker became too ill to care for her. After time in a calm foster home to heal and rebuild trust, Zenobia is now healthy, spayed, and ready for a home of her own—her kittens have all found theirs.

Once she feels safe, Zenobia is a chatty and affectionate companion. She encourages cheek and butt scratches and will reward you with deep, happy purrs. If you enjoy talking to your cat and getting down on the floor for some quality petting time, Zenobia will happily join you.

Zenobia would do best in a quieter home with patient, cat-savvy humans. She has been around other cats and a small dog in foster care and is mostly indifferent to them. She doesn't mind their presence but tends to prefer doing her own thing like the independent queen she is. Calm, respectful, and mostly uninterested cats or dogs could coexist well with her. Gentle, older kids who understand cat boundaries may also be a good fit.

Zenobia will come with an extended trial period to give her the time she needs to decompress and settle in. With patience and kindness, she'll reward her people with a truly special bond.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations. Young cats have an adoption fee of $175. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.
