Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Yahtzee is FIV+ but he does not need any special care or medication or anything different than any other kitty. It just means his immune system isn't as great as other kitties', so it's extra important that he be kept indoors and gets annual wellness exams. His prognosis is for a healthy and happy life. FIV is only spread through deep bite wounds and is not transmittable to other species.

Meet Yahtzee

Soft as cashmere and sweet as candy, Yahtzee is a 5-year-old boy who is a gentle soul. Yahtzee was rescued from a colony and was quite shy when he first arrived in his foster home, but once he settled in after a few days, he revealed that he's a total love bug. Head and ear scratches are his favorite but he also likes to lay beside you to accept affection and in return he gives licks. He loves sitting in the window watching the birds and cars as much as he loves treats, which he will eat from your hand. He takes pride in keeping his beautiful coat well-groomed and doesn’t mind daily brushing from his foster human siblings (12 and 14 yrs old). His favorite thing of all is getting affection from his humans and he will flip over for his belly to be rubbed and give you head bumps to prod you to give him the lovin' he wants. Yahtzee has the cutest, raspy petite meow when you go to feed him or shake the treat bag. Due to missing teeth on his left side of his mouth, his tongue sometimes hangs out, ensuring you will get great "Tongue out Tuesday" pics.

He loves being around the kids in his foster house (12 and 14 yo) who take things slow with him. But, we don't know yet how he is with younger children or other animals. Yahtzee is FIV+ but don’t let that deter you from this majestic king. His prognosis for a healthy life is great. He also has some additional dental issues that are being addressed so he can be in tip-top shape to go to his forever home.
