Xander's Story

Adopton fee.
Xena and Xander - Mother and son duo!

Xena is about 1 1/2 years old. Xander is 6 months old.

Xena is a special and brave girl! She has learned that being a house cat is pretty cool. Watching her relax and to trust, learning to play others and with toys, has been heartwarming. FYI, she LOVES spring toys!

If you are looking for a kitty that doesn't want held, she is your girl. Xena has come a long way from when she came to us. We believe she had been physically mistreated. She was TERRIFIED of being touched. With time and love she now, very much enjoys the company of her people, begs for them to be in the room with her and chill. She loves a nice soft pet and a great butt scratch. She allows pets when she is up on something, cat tree, table etc. When she is on the ground, she is hard to touch; (maybe been kicked at?) We keep working on holding her in our laps, and she wants to like it and allows it for a minute, then she gets down.

Xena will do best in a calm home, preferably with someone who is home a lot and less active. She loves being in the same room with you and hanging out. Oh, she is a soft talker!! She needs a person who will accept her as she is and allow her the time to trust them. She will be a loyal companion. I TIME, patience, gentleness and love.
She REALLY loves her boy, Xander. He is her security. They would do great in a home together; she is very bonded to him.

Xander is a normal playful happy independent kitten. He can be frightened around new people. He came to us tiny, sick, and his eyes were unhealthy. One eye was removed but that is not a disability for him. His good eye does water sometimes but the doc says all is well!

Xander loves to flop down on any surface, stretch out fully and get a nice long pet from nose to tail. When loving on him he makes the cutest, soft chirpy sounds. He adores helping you make the bed and there is nothing better than a soft, messy blanket. He loves his momma. He is one of our favorites.

If they sound like the right fit for you... you won't regret it.INDOOR ONLY
