Wrigley's Story

Meet Mama Wrigley
Wrigley's story starts with a rescue: found as a semi-feral, pregnant stray, she was trapped by one of our favorite veterinarians so she could have her babies safely indoors, where they could be socialized and set on the path to loving homes.
And what a mom she turned out to be. After raising her own litter of five, Wrigley took one look at our tiniest litter- six more kittens who needed a mother- and decided they were hers too. Eleven kittens in one season, and she loved every one of them like her own.
Before all that, Wrigley spent her first eight months living outside, so trust hasn't come easily. But she's blossomed in foster care, and every week she becomes a little more sure that people are safe to love. She already comes when she hears her name, walks right up to an outstretched hand, and melts into head rubs and back scratches. At night, she curls up at the end of her foster's bed or on the floor close by- proof of just how far she's come.
Wrigley is a quiet observer by nature. She'll perch in a window for hours watching birds, or keep a curious eye on her foster family from across the room. Her meow is soft and sweet, and she's growing chattier by the day as her confidence grows.
She gets along beautifully with other cats and kittens, and she's easygoing with a calm, respectful dog. She'd also be perfectly content as the only pet in a peaceful household- either way, she just needs a home that moves at her pace.
This is a cat who has already given so much love. Now she just needs someone willing to recognize a diamond in the rough and give her the patient, quiet home she deserves. For the right adopter, her fee is waived.
All of Orphan Annie's cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and flea prevention.

Orphan Annie's Neonatal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Potential Adopters must first submit a written application. A member of our team does a preliminary check of the application for any red flags such as pet allergies or no permission to have pets with renters. We then call references, vet practices for insight on the potential adopter. We determine if the animal they are interested in will be a good fit for their life and their environment. We then set up in person meet and greets. We do not do same day adoptions at adoption events. We must have time to properly evaluate the application. We do not do meet and greets without an approved adopter. If the meet goes well, and the animal is fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, and healthy, they can take the animal after fee is paid and contract is signed.
