Wrenlee-Special Diet's Story

Wrenlee could you be any sweeter with your soulful, loving eyes, adorable extra toes and the most gentle loving purrsonality? This purrecious baby girl was left abandoned in an apartment and thankfully was brought to the Mat Su Shelter. She was with another cat who was adopted from us previously, so we requested to take her into our program as well. The other cat was not a can of other cats, however Wrenlee is a doll extraordinaire. She is the absolute sweetest when she finds a feline companion that she treasures. She will go up to them, give them sweet kisses and show them that they are already loved. She is purrecious beyond words.

All this sweet girl wants is a loving lap, a loving purrever buddy or two and a home to call her own. She is a heavier gal so her home to be will want to continue efforts to help her shed some of that unwanted weight.

Due to some digestive issues, Wrenlee is eating a specialized diet, called ZD. This is a prescription diet that you can purchase from a vet clinic or PetSmart.

Here is a resource to some important information about weight loss for cats:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QqvWrrdoO4OyC_ZecdVkNy1LF76I2Li5_03aIoT0n4Q/edit?usp=sharing

Shelter Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7pm-9pm: Visitation Only
Wednesday: 7pm-8:30pm: Visitation Only

Weekend Hours by Appointment Only.
Please text 907-230-6394 to make these arrangements.
Appointment times are:
3:15, 4:00, 4:45

Our adoption policies and procedures are rigorous and thoughtful as our goal is to match you with a cat who will become a loving addition to your home for the rest of his/her wonderful life.

Seeing photos and videos are great first steps, however, meeting the cat in person and seeing if you connect is critically important. We strongly support the utilization of cat harnesses and catios as these are positive ways of giving your cat the chance to explore, get some fresh air and provide him/her with the benefits of the natural world while keeping them and wildlife safe and sound.

These steps have been implemented to ensure the placement is the best one possible to meet the needs of the cat and the new home.

Our Adoption Application is available to complete online or download.
