Wisdom's Story
Meet Wisdom -- A Gentle Mama Learning to Trust ❤️
Wisdom is a beautiful 1-year-old Manx with a very special story.
Wisdom was born feral and became a mother while still very young herself. Shortly after giving birth, she did something remarkable: she carried her babies, one by one, to a young boy she trusted, seemingly asking him for help. She proved to be a wonderful, devoted mother and took excellent care of every one of her kittens.
Now that her babies are growing up, it's Wisdom's turn to find a home of her own.
Despite her feral beginnings, Wisdom really likes people -- even strangers. She will walk right up to someone new, head-butt them and rub against their legs. She also has the sweetest little voice, communicating with quiet chirps and soft meows.
Wisdom enjoys being petted, but she has one funny little rule: she prefers not to see your hand doing it! If she notices your hand while you're petting her, she may give it a quick swat -- but she doesn't use her claws. She is still learning that hands are safe.
She hasn't figured out toys yet. Having grown up outdoors, playing with a toy simply isn't something she learned as a kitten. With patience and a loving home, that may come in time.
Wisdom would be a wonderful match for someone who appreciates a cat with a little personality and is willing to let her continue building confidence at her own pace. She's affectionate, social, gentle and has already come an amazingly long way from her feral beginnings.
Wisdom trusted a person enough to bring him her babies. Now she needs someone she can trust with the rest of her life. ❤️Interested in adopting a companion cat from Texas Animal Society?
Please email info@texasanimalsociety.com and complete online adoption application at texasanimalsociety.org
Come visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/www.texasanimalsociety.org/
