Winston

Meet Winston
Winston is a handsome, long-haired black cat with striking green eyes and a unique white patch on his chest. At around two years old, he is looking for a family to call his own.

Since coming into foster care, he has been enjoying a quieter single-caregiver, single-pet foster home where his personality has really started to shine. Like many cats, he needed about two weeks to fully settle into his new surroundings, so his future family should expect to give him a little time to adjust.

Once he's comfortable, Winston is incredibly affectionate on his own terms. He'll happily meow to let you know he'd like some attention, then wander over for pets. Winston is communicative around where he would like to be pet, and he has a funny habit of inviting affection while giving paw taps and small bites at the same time.

During the day, Winston can usually be found tucked away somewhere cozy, whether that's under the bed, in the closet, or behind the curtains watching the world outside. When he's feeling playful, he'll chase his toys for a few minutes before proudly carrying them under the bed to continue the hunt in private.

Winston is currently recovering from a severe flea infestation he had before entering foster care. He is now completely flea free, and there are no concerns about the infestation returning. However, his skin is still a little dry and flaky as it heals. Daily brushing (as long as he's comfortable) will help keep his coat healthy, and he may continue to benefit from skin-supportive nutrition, such as omega-3 supplements, while his skin and fur fully recover.

He previously lived happily with children and other animals and may do well in a family home again. He has also seemed to enjoy the calm of his foster home, so he may equally thrive with someone looking for a loving companion in a quieter environment.

If you're looking for a cat with a big personality, plenty to say, and lots of love to give once you've earned his trust, Winston may just be your perfect match.

He is neutered, appropriate vaccines and microchipped.
