Winnie & Binx's Story

Winnie and Binx are 16 week old, brother and sister duo that are a bonded pair. Winnie and Binx are the perfect example of Yin and Yang. They compliment each other perfectly.

Winnie is calm, observant, gentle, affectionate, loves being held, quiet, is great in the car and the vet, purrs constantly, and plays so gently. She is the best lap cat or couch buddy.

Binx is outgoing, energetic, extremely affectionate (velcro kitten), needs to be touching his human, loves to be in the mix, super social, talkative, fearless, an angel in the car and the vet and is a loud, purring machine.

They both love to play with ball toys, springs and each other and spending time relaxing on the couch with foster Mom. Together, Winnie and Binx make a perfect pair and will be the best companions.

Winnie and Binx have a non-harmful condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). This condition makes them wobbly when they walk. It happens when the Mama cat has panleukopenia virus or is severely malnourished while pregnant and the cerebellum, responsible for motor function, doesn’t develop properly in the kittens in utero.

Cerebellar Hypoplasia can be classified as mild, moderate or severe. Winnie and Binx are moderate to mild. Although CH never gets better, their ability to walk will improve as they build strength with age. They will still live long, healthy lives. They’re just wobbly!

Winnie and Binx are no different than any other kitten. They can eat and use the litter box independently and play and climb just like a normal kitten. They just can’t jump, so it’s best they live in a single level home and it’s ideal there is carpet or rugs for them to grip, but foster mom has polyvinyl floors and they do just fine getting around.

If you are interested in adopting Winnie and Binx together as a pair, please fill out an adoption application. The link is below.

Foster Mom lives in Los Angeles, but we are open to out of state adoptions.

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BKR/Cat

Before adoption, Winnie and Binx will be spayed and neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested and vaccinated.
