Winky's Story
Hi… the names Winky! Yes, yes… I know what you’re thinking… “How did such a handsome guy lose an eye?” Well, life outside wasn’t always kind to me. I came to Furball Farm with a ruptured eye globe that couldn’t be saved, so the humans helped me feel better by removing it. Now I rock the sleek one-eyed look, and honestly? I think it makes me even more charming.

When I first arrived, I was very scared of people. I didn’t know if I could trust anyone. But with lots of patience, tasty food, gentle voices, and time, I started realizing that humans might actually be pretty nice. These days, if you approach me slowly, I absolutely love head scratches and soft affection. I can still be a little shy at first, but once I trust you, you’ll see my sweet side shine through.

Now let’s talk about my favorite thing ever… PLAYTIME! I am always on the go. I love chasing flies, tossing toy mice into the air like a professional athlete, zooming around the room, and wrestling with my cat friends. If it moves, I probably want to chase it. I would really love a home with another playful kitty because I have so much fun making friends and playing all day long.

I may only have one eye, but that doesn’t slow me down one bit. I’m young, frisky, full of personality, and very handsome if I do say so myself.

You can come meet me daily from 1–5pm. Maybe I’ll even let you give me one of my famous head scratches.

My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.

I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

If you are interested in adopting Winky, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we need to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.
