Winky's Story

Hi there! My name is Winky, and I am a 5-year-old female dilute calico ready to find a furever home for my brother and me.

I’m the little queen of cozy blankets, lap naps, and long petting sessions. Like my brother Tinky, I only have one eye, but that’s never slowed me down. I think it makes me look pretty unique, don’t you?

I’m affectionate, playful, and a little bit sassy. I love a good chin scratch, and I’ll happily snuggle up with you for hours. I’ve been through a lot in my short life, but I’ve learned that the world is still a soft, warm, and loving place when you’ve got the right people by your side.

Speaking of the right people… I can’t go anywhere without Tinky. He’s my rock, my best friend, and my partner in everything. We’re looking for a forever home together, and we promise to fill it with love, purrs, and joy.

Could you be the one to love us just the way we are?

Tinky and Winky would thrive in a semi-quiet home with someone who appreciates gentle souls. Kids and small dogs are okay, as long as Tinky and Winky have their own space to relax.

Winky is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and combo-tested negative.

**Important***
If you are interested in adopting these special siblings, the first step in the adoption process is to submit an adoption application on our website: www.faithfulfriendsnc.org/adopt

Once your completed-in-full application has been submitted, the humans will review it. If the humans have questions or want to set up an appointment for you to meet one of us, they will contact you. Please read all guidelines before sending in an application. Do not reach out to the sanctuary about the status of your application, we will contact you if we are interested in setting up an appointment.
Thank You!

Please read before applying. We place our animals—many from neglectful or abusive backgrounds—only in safe, responsible homes. Basic requirements include up-to-date vet care for current/past pets (Rabies, Distemper, annual exams, heartworm prevention for dogs), safe housing, and a vet reference check from all clinics used in the last 10 years. Renters must provide landlord approval. First-time adopters ages 21–25 may need additional info. You must apply for a specific animal and complete the application fully. Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule a meet & greet; we cannot provide status updates due to high volume.
