Wilma- $25 Bissell Sponsored Adoption Fee!'s Story
Between Dec, 1st-15th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $25

Meet Wilma! Wilma is a 1.5 year old cat with beautiful and soft grey fur.

Wilma is a shy girl, but slowly warms up to her new digs! She may hide at first, but when she gets used to her new home, she'll come out for pets and cuddles whenever she can. She loves other animals, and it actually makes her feel more comfortable coming out for pets when she sees another animal getting them, but she would also do great as an only pet! She loves to explore when given the chance, but can be skittish, so a quieter home with older kids or only adults may be best for Wilma. Wilma needs a patient owner who's willing to work with her during her transition to a new home - she will likely hide for a few weeks, but trust us, she's worth the wait. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and will be your best friend in no time.

Wilma is litter box trained and eats well. She's a very clean and polite kitty and you'll find yourself smiling when you hear her loud purrs from across the house!

Wilma is currently located in a foster home in New Haven, CT. Her adoption fee is $150.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. All adults are combo tested; for some litters of kittens who have not been exposed to other cats, only one kitten in the litter may be tested. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and helps us continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
