New Cattitude, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
New Cattitude Inc follows a thorough, best-interest adoption process to ensure each cat is placed in a safe and appropriate home. Prospective adopters must complete a detailed application and be at least 21 years old. The application gathers information about housing, household members, current and past pets, veterinary history, and overall readiness for long-term pet ownership. Applications are carefully reviewed, and we may contact landlords, veterinarians, and personal references as part of the screening process. We also discuss expectations for care, including indoor living, litter box maintenance, and a long-term commitment to the cat’s well-being. A virtual or in-person home visit may be required. Our organization follows a “best home” policy, meaning approval does not guarantee adoption of a specific cat. Instead, we match each cat with the applicant whose home and lifestyle are the best fit.
