Willow's Story
Meet Willow, the mayor of Room 5 at HART! This gorgeous, soft house panther has a heart of gold and loves greeting visitors to his room. Willow truly loves nothing more than pets and being held - he'll curl right up in your arms and rub his head against your face to show just how much he appreciates the attention. He's also incredibly playful - you would never guess he's 9 years old because he's truly a giant kitten at heart.

We believe Willow has a nerve condition called Feline Orofacial Pain Syndrome (FOPS) or TMJ dysfunction, which can sometimes cause pain if his mouth opens too wide. He was previously treated for severe stomatitis and no longer has any teeth, which has helped him feel much more comfortable, and he has not had any recent pain episodes. In his previous home, likely due to discomfort from this condition combined with his high-energy need for attention, it was reported that he bit his human a few times. However, we have not seen this behavior during the more than year he has been at HART.

Willow loves lounging in the sunshine and will occasionally curl up with his roommates, but he would likely do best as the only cat in the home - he wants all the attention for himself! He would also thrive in a calm, child-free environment where his human can give him the attention, playtime, and enrichment he needs. In return, Willow will shower you with more love than you can imagine.

Please fill out an adoption application at hartofme.org to meet Willow 🐾

Willow is part of our Shy Angels Socialization Program and will require a meeting with a Shy Angels team member for final approval of adoption.

Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!

***FKA = Formerly Known As
