Whiskey's Story

**Due to being blind, Whiskey is a manager approval adoption. She can be played with on the weekends, but an adoption for her can only be finalized Tuesday-Friday from 1 to 4 when a manager is present. Please contact us with any questions.**

What's better than some Whiskey to calm your nerves? Well, meet this adorable cat! Whiskey is a 1 and a half year old female Domestic Shorthair cat.
Whiskey was surrendered to us through no fault of her own due to her previous owner no longer being able to care for her. Whiskey is an incredibly sweet cat, and she just needs a home that is the right fit for her!
When you meet Whiskey you can immediately see there's some damage to her eyes. A veterinarian looked at her and said it appears to be an old injury that caused damage to both her retinas, and resulted in the vision loss. They didn't recommend surgery at this time as she doesn't seem to be experiencing any discomfort, but she will need regular check ups to ensure she's staying at the top of her health. She can not be allowed to roam outside in her future home for her own safety. Due to her medical needs, she will require manager approval to adopt to ensure she's going to the right home.
Whiskey has a heart of gold! She gets along great with other cats and kids, and has warmed right up to us at the shelter. She doesn't know a stranger, but instantly falls in love with everyone she meets. Whoever takes her home should count themselves lucky to get to live with such a special girl!
Whiskey is litterbox trained and has received her first round of vaccinations. She's ready to get out of the shelter and back into a home where she belongs! If you think Whiskey could eb the cat for you, come out and meet her today!
