Wheaties's Story
Good day, distinguished human. My name is Wheaties, your devilishly handsome feline friend.

I may look like an elegant, no-nonsense kitty with my classy tuxedo, but I still like to play like the best of 'em! My shelter mama recently introduced me to the joy of wand toys, and I love chasing the lure at the end. Ok so MAYBE I steal the entire stick from her and drag it to my bed but who's judging?

When I first arrived at H4PHS I was so incredibly fearful that I would hide from the shelter staff in the back of my cage. Slowly but surely I started to come around, constantly encouraged by my caretakers to be brave and take a chance on humans. It makes me very proud to hear them talking about me and telling one another how far I've come. I can still be shy in new settings and would do best in a home with children 12 and older who can give me the space I need to decompress and find my courage.

At 4 years young I have enough energy to play but also enjoy rubbing against my humans for some quiet affection. After previously living with another cat, I would be willing to share my space with another kitty. I certainly do not share the same feelings toward dogs though..... There I was taking my peaceful afternoon nap when mom decided to bring a smelly dog in the room to say hi. I smacked him right across the face and let him know in no uncertain terms that we are NOT friends. If you have a stinky....uh I mean LOVELY dog in your home, please consider adopting my pal Scooty instead. If you want a wonderful, loving companion who is also easy on the eyes (wink wink) please submit an adoption inquiry for me!
