Wesley (1/2 price adoption fee)'s Story

Meet Wesley, an 8-month-old, 7 lb tabby with a quiet charm and a sweet soul that's just beginning to shine.

Wesley is still settling into his foster home, so right now he's very much in his "mysterious observer" era. By day, he tends to keep to himself and take things in at his own pace. By night? That's when his curious side comes out, and he quietly explores his surroundings with the kind of thoughtful energy that suggests he's just making sure everything is up to his standards.

The good news? Wesley is getting braver by the day. He can now tolerate being in the same room as people, and he even comes right out when it's time to eat. He's still very skittish, but he loves to observe from afar—and every day he seems a little more comfortable doing it closer to the action.

While Wesley is shy, he's also incredibly gentle. He may not be seeking out cuddles or demanding attention just yet, but he will happily accept pets and even being held without fuss, hissing, or scratching. That says a lot about the sweet boy underneath the nerves.

If you happen to have a Churu in hand, even better—Wesley is a big fan, and snacks may very well be the key to winning him over.

He previously lived with other cats, is litter box trained, and would likely do best in a calm, patient home where he can continue to come out of his shell at his own pace. Wesley isn't the kind of cat who will immediately leap into your lap on day one—but for the right person, watching his confidence grow will be incredibly rewarding.

A few helpful notes for his future adopter:

A high-sided litter box is best for Wesley, since he kicks up litter with real enthusiasm!
He's very food motivated and will try to get into just about anything left open or unsupervised, so keep tempting snacks out of paw's reach.

Some cats burst onto the scene. Wesley prefers a slower reveal.

And honestly? We think that makes him pretty special.

If you would like to give this wonderful cat a home, please email rescue@pupstarzrescue.org or visit www.pupstarzrescue.org for an application!
www.pupstarzrescue.org
Please Follow us on Instagram: @pupstarzrescue
Like us on FaceBook! www.facebook.com/PupStarzRescue
