Wesley's Story

Wesley was rescued by AVA after being found outside with an injury to his tail resulting in part of his tail being amputated. Wes is a beautiful loving boy. He loves people and he loves other cats. He may start off shy at first but once he warms up to you he will love you so very much. He is the happiest boy in the world and loves to show his happiness by purring. He loves to cuddle and sit beside you, even being around you makes him purr. He absolutely loves to be pet, he will give you his bum for scratches and he will roll over for you to pet his tummy. Wesley is a handsome bobcat who will melt your heart as soon as you meet him. He has so much love to give and will be so happy in a home with other cats. He loves to snuggle other kitties but he especially loves human interaction once he warms up to you.<br/><br/>Would you like to make Wesley a part of your family? Action Volunteers for Animals - Durham Region's Adoption Policy
All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens. AVA does not adopt out of province or out of country. Adopters should live within a one-hour radius of our locations in the Greater Toronto Horseshoe Area (GTHA). Due to the overwhelming volume of applications we are receiving, a response to short-listed applicants may be delayed. While we endeavour to contact short-listed applicants within 48 hours, a response may take up to a week. Adoption Fees Standard adoption fees for cats and kittens include vetting, spay/neuter, two dewormings, microchip, and initial vaccine at the time of adoption (FVRCP and rabies if age-appropriate). Additional fees may apply for cats who have had, or are due for, vaccine boosters prior to adoption. Testing for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) or Feline Leukemia (FeLV) is is not included unless specifically indicated, as testing is not standard practice. Adult over 1 year: $250 (with initial vaccine) Adult over 1 year: $325 (with second/booster vaccine at $75) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $275 (with initial vaccine) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $350 (with booster vaccine at $75) Seniors (10+ years) and special needs: $200 Special breeds: Starting at $250 – a $75 fee may be applied for special breeds who have had a booster administered prior to adoption.
