Weaselby's Story

Meet Weaselby!

Weaselby came to us all the way from Kuwait! She was already very well socialized upon arrival and settled into her foster home in just a few days. Weaselby has a gentle spirit and spends the majority of her time lounging, but definitely has her playful moments, too. She likes to play with wand toys and often does truly impressive jump-flips when chasing them. She is a curious girl and likes to sniff around and climb into high places. When she first gets to know you she is a bit reserved, but once she warms up she will ask you for pets and even crawl into your lap to cuddle!

Weaselby lived with a foster brother during her first few months in Pittsburgh until he was adopted. She enjoyed playing with him, but would get tired more quickly than he would, which would at times lead to mild strife between them. She's been doing very well as a singleton, and we think she would be happy either by herself or with another cat who matched her more lounge-y tendencies. She could definitely handle older kids and would likely even do well with younger ones with some patience from all parties.

Weaselby is estimated to be a little over a year old. She is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, and has tested FIV+/FeLV-. Apply for this big-eared baby today!

Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
