Washington's Story

Meet Washington! She was first rescued back in 2024 at around 7 months old and originally thought to be a simple TNR case, but after her spay appointment, she surprised everyone by showing just how friendly she truly was. Given the chance, Washington blossomed in her foster home, coming out of her shell and learning to trust, love, and enjoy the comforts of indoor life.
Unfortunately, she was recently surrendered back to us through no fault of her own. One of the resident cats was aggressive and bullying her, making it impossible for her to feel safe. Despite that, we know Washington can thrive with the right feline companion, she previously lived with a gentle, loving cat friend and did wonderfully. Or she is happy to be a solo queen (she is currently solo in her foster home).
Now around 3 years old, Washington is a stunning long-haired beauty with a soft, soulful presence. She’s the kind of cat who bonds deeply, just at her own pace. In a calm, patient home, she will truly shine.
She loves gentle pets and affection, curling up on the bed with you, tasty treats (her love language!), having her gorgeous long coat brushed, and, once she fully trusts you... cozy lap time.
Washington would do best in a peaceful home with a friendly, cuddly cat companion or as a solo kitty with a patient adopter who understands that love like hers is worth the wait.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion and are willing to let her come to you in her own time, Washington might just be your perfect match.
