Wasabi's Story

Wasabi
Female DSH Tortie Tabby
Estimated age: 4.5 months

Wasabi was found with her sibling as strays. Wasabi was more evasive than her sibling so it took a little longer for the finder to catch her. Since being in rescue, she has started to slowly warm up to people although she is still very skiddish. She loves to play and cuddle with other cats. She is definitely a cat's cat and is learning confidence from her foster siblings. Her newest milestone is sleeping on the end of the bed with the other cats although she does jump down if she thinks you are going to try to touch her. Baby steps! She loves wet food and treats. She needs someone who will work with her to gain her trust and show her that people are not that scary. It will be incredibly rewarding watching her grow and hit milestones. She also needs another playful cat that can help her come out of her shell.

Location: If you'd like to meet her, she's currently in residence at the Happy Cat Cafe. Visit www.happycatgr.com for more information

Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption.

If you are interested in adopting, fill out an application online at www.figandfriendspetrescue.org/adopt

Fig and Friends Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
~We do not adopt to homes with animals who are not spayed or neutered unless there is a valid reason such as vet recommendation. ~We do check references including landlord if you rent and your vet both past and present. ~We do not adopt to homes that plan on declawing the cat we have adopted out to you or that plan on letting a cat outside (unless on a leash and harness under owner's continued observation). ~If we see something on your application that we are concerned about, we will always try and have a conversation with you to find out the why. We understand you might have declawed a cat in the past or had to rehome an animal. It can happen to anyone. We like to dig deeper and won't deny someone just based on surface information.
