Wasabi's Story
Wasabi is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), female, DOB: 9/13/25.

A jump-right-in, ask-questions-later kind of girl, Wasabi is an outgoing, social butterfly – enthusiastic and carefree with little awareness of possible dangers in the world, she won’t hesitate to initiate and welcome play with any and all (often launching herself into her people’s arms, whether they are ready for her or not).

Wasabi is fearless and sometimes even brash, an entirely engaging, upbeat, and joyously cheerful girl – ever on the prowl to make playthings of whatever seems to be available in her environment. Wasabi really enjoys her toys and will happily play on her own with them, but one of her favorite activities is interactive play with her people. Barely more than a kitten, she is lively, curious and looking for adventure wherever she can find it, meaning this young beauty will need family members who want to share and provide her with the time, attention, and vigorous interactive play activities she will need and thrive with.

Wasabi was surrendered to Monroe SPCA as a young kitten who was in severe need of socialization. She has made tremendous improvements with our volunteers and will continue to improve with a family who can provide her with structure and security. She's been treated for fleas, Giardia, Coccidia, and Roundworm while in our care.

Wasabi is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). She is comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and she’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into her new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.

Wasabi currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet her by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.

All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.

Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.

For more information message us on Facebook or email info@monroespca.org.
