Walter McFluffy's Story

My name is Walter McFluffy, and I have decided that retirement suits me quite well.

I came into this program through the Cat Crisis Fund after needing urgent care for a serious neck injury. While I was being treated, they also found wire wrapped around one of my back feet. It was a rough chapter, but I've healed from all of that now, and I've moved on to something much more important: comfort.

These days, I live a much quieter life. I like soft places to rest, predictable routines, and knowing I'm safe indoors where nothing unexpected is going to happen to me.

I've discovered I really enjoy affection. Cheek rubs and head pets are my favorites, and I accept them with the seriousness of someone who has finally figured out what a good thing feels like. I'm not demanding about it, but I am very receptive.

Most of my day is spent settled somewhere cozy, usually at the foot of the bed, keeping things peaceful and observing the world from a comfortable distance. I like being near my person without needing to be in the middle of everything.

I'm a calm, steady companion. I don't ask for much, just a warm home and someone willing to offer a gentle hand and a quiet place to belong.

If you're looking for a soft presence to share your space and your slower moments, I think I would fit in nicely. To inquire about adopting this cat please complete an adoption application at tinyurl.com/ccapadoptions

San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition's Adoption Policy
Although our primary mission is to work on feral cat issues, we devote considerable time to adopting out TAME kittens and adult cats. In order to better manage the feral cat population, friendly cats and kittens are removed from the streets, placed with fosters, and spay/neutered before placing them up for adoption. Young kittens born to feral cats are ideally left with their mom until they are ready for weaning. They are then placed in a foster home, socialized, and spayed/neutered prior to being put up for adoption. Our rescued tame cats are all privately fostered in homes throughout the San Antonio metro area.
