Walter's Story

Oh Walter! Where do I even begin? Walter came to us at only 4 weeks old. He was found all alone on someone's property. At first sight, he was the picture of health. However, after holding him for only a few short minutes, I noticed something felt odd with his chest wall. After seeing our veterinarian, my suspicions were confirmed. Walter had a very rare condition for kittens called, Pectus Extavatum. Basically, his chest wall was underdeveloped and didn't close when it should have. Many times this condition requires life saving surgery. In Walter's case though, it was minor enough that the vet hoped with aggressive physical therapy, the chest wall would close on its own. AND it did! after weeks of doing thousands of chest massages, Walter's chest is now 100% normal! He is why we call our rescue, Mighty Miracles! Walter is the craziest little guy! He runs non stop, plays as hard as any other kitten only slowing down to give kisses and head butts to the love of his life, Dorothy. That is the one condition to Walter's adoption. He must be adopted with his one true love. Well, Dorothy and his food. His two true loves! Walter is so beautiful that he recently won 1st place in the cat show at the Wilson County-Tennessee State Fair, and placed 1st runner up in Best of Show! His wife, Dorothy, took 3rd place, making them an award winning couple! Walter's name is a perfect depiction of his personality. He's absolutely like a little old man that could be any of our grandpas! He only gets truly excited over one thing and that's his food! All kidding aside, if you've ever wanted a bonded pair of kittens, these babies were meant for you! Both are fully vetted and ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and fun!
