(Français suit)<br/>*UPDATE Walter's foster has become highly allergic.We dont have a choice to find him a forever home, as we want to avoid moving him to another foster home.<br/>Walter is calm, sweet, so loving.He deserves a loving home as much as any other cat, if not more after being so neglected for most of his life.*<br/><br/>This is Walter ‘s story. <br/>Walter was abandoned at our vet clinic to be euthanized, this past March, because he was sick and his owner couldn’t afford any vet care. Also, he had no name ?<br/>Walter is 17 years old. He was diagnosed with hyper thyroid, with values so high it could not be measured. ?<br/>He was severely emaciated, matted and also diagnosed with renal failure. <br/>After many tests and different doses of his medication, we were able to manage his thyroid thus saving his life. ???<br/>Walter was really sad and confused when he arrived. He eventually responded to the love and care he was getting from his amazing foster dad. ? We feel he didn’t get much attention , he didn’t know what to do with cat toys at first.<br/>Walter has everything he needs and he’s a happy cat. Did we mention how stunning he is ? ?<br/>Walter is on thyroid medication , and eats special food for kidney disease from the vet clinic. Needless to say since March we have spent a little fortune on him.<br/>Walter turned 18 in February. <br/>We are grateful to have had a permanent foster who truly cares about him. ? Sadly he has since became highly allergic, and we need to find Walter a permanent home.<br/>We have applied for a few grants for hard to place cats (through Purina & Petfinder) but have not heard back. ?<br/><br/>We wanted to share his story , to show how we differ from other rescue groups. <br/>We feel seniors / sick cats deserve a chance as much as kittens do. We don’t euthanize. <br/><br/>By supporting us you are helping us continue our mission . Every cat deserves a chance , no matter how long they have. <br/>Walter is a happy cat , making up for lost times. This , has no price. ??<br/>Walter in a humanitarian adoption, which means their won't be an adoption fee, but a donation at the adopters discretion in exchange for a donation receipt for tax purpases.<br/><br/>*MISE À JOUR : La famille d'accueil de Walter est devenu très allergique. Nous n'avons pas d'autre choix que de lui trouver un foyer permanent, car nous voulons éviter de le déplacer dans une autre famille d'acceuil.<br/>Walter est calme, doux et tellement affectueux. Il mérite un foyer aimant autant que n'importe quel autre chat, voire plus, après avoir été si négligé pendant la majeure partie de sa vie.<br/><br/>*Voici l'histoire de Walter. <br/>Walter a été abandonné dans notre clinique vétérinaire pour être euthanasié, en mars dernier, parce qu'il était malade et que son propriétaire ne pouvait se permettre aucun soin vétérinaire. <br/>De plus, il n'avait pas de nom ? <br/>Walter a 17 ans. On lui a diagnostiqué une hyperthyroïdie, avec des valeurs si élevées qu’elles ne pouvaient pas être mesurées. ? Il était gravement émacié , plein de nœuds et souffrait également d'insuffisance rénale. Après de nombreux tests et différentes doses de médicaments, nous avons pu gérer sa thyroïde, lui sauvant ainsi la vie. ??? Walter était vraiment triste et confus à son arrivée. Il a finalement répondu à l'amour et aux soins qu'il recevait de son incroyable papa d’accueil . ? <br/>On croit qu’il n’a pas reçu beaucoup d’attention, il ne savait pas quoi faire des jouets au début. Walter a tout ce dont il a besoin et c’est un chat heureux. Avons-nous mentionné à quel point il est magnifique ? ? <br/>Walter prend des médicaments pour la thyroïde et mange une nourriture pour les maladies rénales de la clinique vétérinaire. Inutile de dire que depuis mars, nous avons dépensé une petite fortune pour lui, et nous continuerons à le faire aussi longtemps qu'il le pourra. Walter a eu 18 ans en février. <br/>Nous sommes reconnaissants d'avoir eu une famille d'accueil permanente qui se soucie vraiment de lui. ? Malheureusement il est devenu allergique aux chats entre temps, et notre beau Walter doit trouver un foyer permanent.<br/>Nous avons demandé une subvention pour des chats difficiles à placer (via Purina et Petfinder), mais nous n'avons pas reçu de réponse. ?<br/><br/>Nous voulions partager son histoire, comme exemple de la façon dont nous nous distinguons des autres organismes Nous pensons que Walter méritait une chance autant qu’un chaton. Nous n euthanasions pas. <br/><br/>En nous soutenant, vous nous aidez à poursuivre notre mission. Chaque chat mérite une chance, peu importe combien de temps il dispose. Walter est un chat heureux, qui rattrape le temps perdu. <br/>Cela n’a pas de prix. ??<br/>Walter est une adoption humanitaire ( pas de frais d'adoption, mais un don a la discrétion de l'adoptant, en échange d'un reçu pour fin d'impôt.
