Walter's Story
Walter has to be one of the most unique and biggest personalities of any cat we've had in rescue. Where to start......

Walter showed up in one of our cat colonies on our block and decided he would just hop from colony to colony eating all the goodies until one day he ended up getting in the open truck and hitching a ride home with us. Walter has been here with us since. He was an outdoor cat, which we don't approve of, so he was eventually brought in when we had an open space and has been inside ever since. He has adjusted well to the indoor lifestyle, but we are constantly being careful to keep the doors shut and move quickly to prevent escape. So he will need a home that is careful about keeping the doors closed behind them, because if Walter were to get out, you wouldn't get him back.....he is too friendly with people, and he likes to ride in the car. Someone would snag him in a heart beat or he would jump in with anyone who left the door open.

Walter is very dominant, but not in a confrontational way; he is just Walter in Walter's world. He gets along with kittens and our 14-year-old rescue cat but didn't do real well with cats over 6 months old. He is very playful but doesn't take no for an answer, so he would get everyone's feathers ruffled with his persistent demand to play. So he would do best as an only cat or with a kitten under 6 months of age.

Walter is overly friendly and loves to be the center of attention, yet he can be aloof and independent when he wants to be. He loves lying in the window sun and watching everything outside. He is a clean, quiet cat, but you can always "see" the wheels turning in his head.....he gets this "look" about him, and you just know he is thinking something devious.

All of our kitties have been health checked, altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. They will come with their medical records, new kitty carrier, baby blankie, dry food, a variety of wet food, litter, treats, snacks, favorite toys, new toys, and whatever else they have claimed as their own while on vacation with us.

Please fill out our questionnaire if you are interested in setting up a meet and greet!

https://forms.wix.com/r/7207729348810375426
