Wally's Story

Our wonderful Wally loves soft blankets and fluffy beds. He looks forward to every morning when he can hop into the bedding fresh out of the dryer and soak up its warmth.

Wally is 9 years old and such a handsome boy. His left eye is fully functional, but his right is underdeveloped. It gives him the appearance of a permanent wink and makes him even more adorable.

He is a shy guy when it comes to people, but he enjoys nothing more than the company of other cats. His feline roommates make him so happy; he is his best self with them. Wally would do great in a quiet, low-key home with other kitties. He will take time to open up, but it will be very rewarding.

Stop by to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our cats. We do not adopt first come; we always select the best placement for our animals. Please call your veterinarian to permit them to speak with us for our vet check. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you are allowed to have a cat.

Our adoption fee is $50 for cats. This includes FIV/FeLV testing, flea/tick preventatives, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines, and spay/neuter if six months or older. If they are too young, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.

For more info on our shelter and available pets, check us out online:

West Milford Animal Shelter Society
Lycosky Drive, West Milford, NJ 07480
(973) 728-2859

Visiting Hours
Mon - Fri: 10 - 1
Wed Night: 7:30 - 9
Weekends: 10 - 3
