Brandy & Wall-E are a bonded pair. Greetings! I'm Wall-E, a distinguished 6-year-old gray tabby gentleman seeking my forever home alongside my spirited companion Brandy. I'm the calm, steady presence in our dynamic duo. While Brandy might keep you on your toes, I'm your go-to guy for reliable affection. I absolutely LOVE being petted and will happily receive your attention whenever offered! I'm a gentle soul, though don't let that fool you - I'm surprisingly strong when motivated by treats behind cabinet doors! While I enjoy a good lap sit now and then, I'm equally content finding a nice high perch to observe my kingdom from above. Brandy and I have been through some tough times together, and we've become each other's comfort and support. You'll often catch us cuddled up, grooming each other, though we also respect each other's space when needed. We came from a loving home that sadly couldn't keep us, and now we're ready to bring our companionship, entertainment, and love to you. Community Animal Rescue Effort - C.A.R.E.'s Adoption Policy

To start the process of meeting our adoptable pets, please fill out an online questionnaire by using the Adoption Application link: Cats: https://carenorthshore.org/cat-adoption-survey Dogs: https://carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey All adoptions and visits are by appointment only. If you see a cat or dog on our website that you are interested in, please fill out our cat adoption survey or dog adoption survey and a C.A.R.E. adoption counselor will contact you to answer any of your questions and to set up a meet and greet with the pet. Adopters must: Be 18 years or older Have valid ID with current address or ID & proof of current address Live in the Chicagoland area Participate in the adoption counseling process Adoption Fees Dogs: $325 Puppies (6 months and under): $375 Senior Dogs: $125 (dogs 7 years and older) Cats and kittens: $150 Two cats or kittens (bonded pair price): $200 Senior cats: $75 (10 and older) An additional deposit for unneutered or unspayed animal is collected until proof of alteration can be provided. Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
