Waldo's Story

Hi, I'm Waldo!

I know, I know — you've been looking for me. And now that you've finally found me, I promise I'm worth the search!

I came into this world in December 2024, a little winter baby with a big personality. By the summer of 2025, I found myself on my own outside the humane society — but I wasn't exactly lonely. Every single day, I'd hang out by the catio, socializing with the shelter cats through the fence. I made friends easily... I just wasn't quite ready to trust the humans yet. So each morning, the volunteers would play a little game: Where's Waldo? I was sneaky, I was quick, and I always stayed just out of reach.

Eventually, they outsmarted me (well played, humans), and I was live-trapped and brought inside. I'll admit — I was pretty nervous at first. New smells, new faces, new everything. But little by little, I started to come around. Turns out, people aren't so bad after all.

Now I'm a cuddly, playful sweetheart who lives for human attention — pets, snuggles, you name it, I'm here for all of it. I've also proven I get along wonderfully with other cats, so a feline friend would make me one happy boy. I'd do best in a home with older kids or adults who understand that shy cats just need a little patience and a lot of love. As for dogs? The jury's still out — I haven't had enough experience to say for sure, so a slow and careful introduction would be a must.

I've recently been transferred from an overcrowded shelter into rescue, and I am so ready for the next chapter. If you're looking for a cat with a story, a little charm, and endless affection to give — you've found me. No live trap required this time, I promise.

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If you are interested in meeting this cat, please fill out an application on our website!

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application
