Waffles's Story

Tomorrow is my birthday!!!! Seriously, it really is! I will be 1 year old and I'm so excited! I have been here at Noah all but the first couple months of my life (when I was in a foster with my mom and my siblings after we were born). I have a good feeling that now I'm no longer officially a kitten, I'm going to find somebody who is looking for a furever kitty! I have been looked over for quite awhile, partly because of my color (yup...I'm all black) but party because I like to hide when people come into the room. My brother (Oreo) is the first one out to say hi and give kisses and once I see that he likes them, I slowly come out to greet them too. He is definitely a great big brother like that (although we are the same age). If you are looking for 2 kitties, I mean, I don't think either one of us would be mad about going home together. However, we both have talked it over and decided that we would just like to start our lives and find our furever home and family...however that looks. We obviously have no problems with other kitties (we have been in a room with other kitties for months now) and although we haven't been around dogs before, they don't seem too scary as long as they don't think we are food or a play toy! I'm just throwing this out there...getting an application for adoption would be the best birthday gift ever!!! (HINT HINT!!) You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

The Noah Project's Adoption Policy

Our adoption process follows a walk-in first-come, first-served policy with no appointment needed and a completed & approved adoption application. We encourage adopters to get to know dogs they are interested in outside of the kennel and choose dogs based on personality and being a good fit with their family and their lifestyle. Once you meet an animal you wish to adopt, we'll sit down for an informational consultation to ensure that you and the pet you've selected are a good match. During this process we'll also review the animal's medical and behavioral records, explain policies and services available to adopters, and help you choose the right pet supplies. Please complete an application only if you meet all the requirements for a specific pet or list the type of pet you are interested in. Applications can either be brought into Noah Project in person or emailed to info@noahprojectmuskegon.org. This form is quite detailed and will provide us with the information necessary to adopt. We will begin processing your application as soon as possible. Important steps in the process will include contacting your veterinarian, personal references, and landlords. Approved applications will be kept on file for up to 90 days.
