Vivienne's Story

Vivienne—aka “Vivi,” aka “Scoops”—is a tortie kitten with a very important full-time job: professional play expert. Her resume is stacked with elite skills like tunnel ambushing, precision crinkle-ball batting, and intense ball-tower supervision (she will not let those balls spin unsupervised).

Her true calling, is toy mouse hunting. She built quite the reputation after a shocking discovery: an entire “graveyard” of defeated mice tucked neatly inside her play tent. Efficient. Organized. Slightly unhinged. We respect it.

Vivi takes her independent work seriously and also thrives in collaborative environments—especially when teaming up with her foster sister Lainey for top-tier kitten chaos and synchronized shenanigans.

When she clocks out, Vivi transforms into a cozy little softie. You’ll find her curled up in her cave bed or melting into a lap, where she can double as a highly qualified emotional support coworker for a work-from-home human. Benefits include warmth, companionship, and the occasional happiness-induced drool (yes, it’s as cute as it sounds).

Personality-wise, Vivi is the perfect mix of independent queen and social butterfly. She loves doing her own thing but is just as happy mingling with people and other animals.

And then there’s her look. Vivi is serving tortie glamour: a sleek, shiny black coat splashed with golden flecks and a gorgeous band of gold wrapped around her torso like she planned it herself. Her signature quirk? A tiny hook at the tip of her tail—hence the nickname “Scoops”—which just adds to her already off-the-charts charm. Seeing her in person is basically game over for your heart.

Vivi does great with kids and hasn’t met a dog yet, but given her easygoing, friendly personality, she’d likely be open to adding a canine coworker to her team.

Vivienne was born around July 21, 2025, and is currently being fostered in Southington. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org.

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
We adopt to CT residents ONLY. We do not ship our animals. If you are interested in adopting, please send us an application from our website (www.fosterandforever.org) or send us an email (fosterandforever@gmail.com). For the safety of our cats and adopter’s children, families with children under 5 years of age will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. All of our animals are housed at volunteer foster homes. One of the most rewarding ways you can make a difference in the lives of homeless animals is by volunteering to be a foster pet parent. Fostering gets animals out of shelters and unsafe conditions into safe, loving, homes where they can grow and heal until they are ready for permanent adoption. We are always in need of foster homes for cats! Foster and Forever will provide food and litter and cover all veterinary costs; all you need is a safe place and an open heart. If you are interested in fostering OR need more information, please visit our website at www.fosterandforever.org.
