Vito's Story

Meet Vito, the handsome and debonair. He has a healthy sense of self esteem and happy to be no longer homeless. For at least a year he was seen living outside, lost or abandoned and would randomly show up for a good meal. When a complex hired a trapper for a raccoon issue, poor Vito found himself trapped and the neighborhood cat lady came running. There he was just sitting in the trap like a good kitty and sweetly meowed at her for help. She got him out of there and into rescue. He was so grateful and cooperative. He went patiently through his quarantine period and then settled into foster. It's not easy being the new guy, but he checked the place out with confidence and introduced himself to the other cats with no issues. He hasn't made a specific friend here yet, but he fit himself right in with a sense of belonging, got comfy on the couch, and learned the routines. He comes running when you call him and loves to be pet. He'll hop right on your lap for a snuggle. He loves looking out the window and playing with toys. He gets the occasional zoomies and breaks into a fast run. The longer he's here, he is getting to know which cats enjoy a good chase, and respects the personal space of those who don't. He is very good at reading other cats and cohabitating with a variety of personalities. He's very smart and observant and is obsessed with (watching) water and sinks. He can hear a faucet from a sound sleep and is there in a flash to watch. So if we're being very honest, he would prefer a home that is flexible on counters, as we haven't had the heart to stop him from looking at the water. Its like a genuine source of interest for him and his curiosity is so intent and innocent. He's slin and agile and likes to sit on high places, like on top of a fridge. He's young and active with the curiousity to explore, but he is also really chill and loves to lounge and hang out. He will do well as an only cat or with other cats. He's gentle, sweet, sincere, and well behaved. He loves kids and makes a great pal. Just a really cool cat. About 2 yrs old, fixed and fully vetted.
