Virginia's Story

Say hello to Virginia!

Virginia is a gorgeous little tabby who recently spent her first birthday here at FDHS. We made sure she got plenty of extra love and pampering that day, but it still tugs at our hearts knowing she's spent so much of her young life in the shelter instead of a home of her own.

Virginia came to us nearly a year ago as a teeny tiny kitten from a tough situation. She had been living in a home with multiple other cats and arrived very scared and not well socialized. Thankfully, she was able to spend several weeks in a wonderful foster home where she started learning what life as a house cat is all about. By the time she returned to the shelter, she was much more comfortable with her caregivers and not nearly as afraid of people.

Virginia is a cat's cat through and through. She really relies on the comfort and presence of other cats for confidence and security, so we believe she would do best in a home with feline friends to keep her company. She can still be a little skittish when meeting new people and tends to be more of an independent girl, but if you give her time to settle in, you'll see what a sweet girl she truly is. She's friendly with the people she knows and loves spending her afternoons lounging in her cat tower and soaking up the sunshine.

This pretty girl has spent so much of her young life in a shelter environment. We would love nothing more than to see Virginia finally get the happily ever after she deserves.

**Spayed and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention**
