Vincent (FeLV+)'s Story
**Sharonville location**

Vincent had a home where he was loved. A kind young man had taken him in thinking he’d make a great companion for the young cat he already had. He took him to his vet for vaccines, and when they tested him it was determined he was positive for FeLV. Unfortunately FeLV cats cannot coexist with non FeLV cats because the virus is highly contagious. So heartbreakingly, the young man surrendered Vincent to the shelter.

We retested Vincent to confirm that he was indeed carrying the virus. We are one of a few shelters in Cincinnati who have a free range room for Leukemia positive cats so Vincent now resides in Room 5.

He is every bit the alpha cat and can’t help himself but to be front and center of everything! This includes trying to eat every other cat’s bowl of food and becoming jealous of other cats receiving attention. While we try to advise FeLV cats adoption in pairs, Vincent should probably be an only-cat.

He is a delightful companion for people. He wants attention and love and is very conversational! He has a beautiful tabby coat and is a little athlete when it comes to hopping across the cat trees in the room. We are banking on our previous success of adopting out FELV cats in 2025, and hoping there’s a special place in someone’s heart and home for little Vincent. Please consider making an appointment to meet him.

Vincent is vaccinated/boosted with the FVCRP vaccine and neutered.

*Must be 21 or older to adopt
**Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter.
