VERITY's Story

Verity is a 4 year old spayed domestic short hair. She originally came into the shelter the late spring of 2025. Initially she was very grumpy here, but over time she was able to be adopted out. On 6/21 she returned to the shelter as a stray and once again has reverted to her hot and cold ways. She particularily gets upset when her kennel is being cleaned, and seems to get increasingly upset when the cat ward is full. Verifty has been enjoying life in a foster home. She is curious, uses the litter box like a pro and LOVES food. Her favorite games involve her desire to explore....she loves finding hidden treats and a game of hide and seek. As she is not a fan of shelter life, interested adopters will be conected to her foster family for a virual meet and greet!

Minneapolis Animal Care and Control's Adoption Policy

All adoptions are being done by appointment only at this time. All appointments are made in the order we receive the request. Call 612-673-6222 to request an appointment to ensure the quickest response. To adopt a pet from MACC, you must: Complete an application Pay an adoption fee Be at least 18 years of age Have a current picture identification that shows your age and current address Purchase a pet license if a resident of the City of Minneapolis Commit to behavior training, providing medical care, and giving humane treatment and companionship throughout the life of the animal Check your lease to be sure you can have pets and that there are no size, weight, or breed limitations. MACC reserves the right to deny any adoption application. MACC does not hold animals and adopts on a first come, first serve basis. No partial payments or down payments are accepted. Although all animals are given an exam prior to becoming available for adoption, MACC cannot guarantee that these animals have not been exposed to an illness prior to coming to our shelter.
