Ready to go home!<br/>Velvet is a pretty gray gal with a calm and sweet personality. She is very affectionate and loves people. We think Velvet would do best in a quiet home.<br/>Velvet can be a little unsure of new people and places, she will need an understanding, lovingly patient person to give her time to adjust to a new environment. Once she is comfortable with you, she wants lots and lots of pets. Velvet would be fine with other mellow cats. We are not sure how she feels dogs. Velvet is sure to be a wonderful companion to someone, maybe you?<br/><br/>Velvet is about 2 years old. They tested negative for FIV & FeLV and is micro-chipped.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee ($75 for cats 1 year and over or $100 for kittens) includes a free vet visit with one of our participating vets.<br/><br/>All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and have been treated, if necessary, for fleas and parasites.<br/><br/>We do adoptions by appointment only. We recommend filling out an adoption application first; then you can be pre-approved before your visit. This way if you find a cat/kitten that you connect with, you can take them home the same day.<br/>Applications can be found here: http://schuylerhumane.org/cat-adoption/<br/><br/>We have Open Hours on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am – 1pm, Saturdays from 10am - 4pm or Sundays from 2 to 5 pm. People can stop by without an appointment.
