Meet Vecna Vecna is a chill, easygoing boy who enjoys the simple things in life, mainly relaxing nearby and observing his surroundings. Every now and then, he will jump into a playful mood and wrestle with his feline roommate. He can be shy when first meeting new people or adjusting to a new home, but with patience and a calm environment, Vecna begins to open up. Once he feels safe, his gentle and sweet personality really starts to shine. Vecna is also a bit vocal and will let you know when he wants something, whether that is head scratches, attention, or a treat. He gets along well with other cats and would likely do best with a friendly feline companion to help build his confidence. While he may not be an immediate cuddlebug, Vecna has wonderful potential to become a quietly affectionate companion who enjoys being close to his people. If you are looking for a shy but sweet cat you can watch grow into a loving friend, Vecna could be the perfect fit. Adoption Information Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV. We make sure each cat is healthy, safe, and ready to thrive in their forever home. Adoption Fees Kittens (under 6 months): $150 Adults (over 6 months): $125 Seniors / Special Needs: $75 Please Note: We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please only apply if you're ready to meet and welcome your new companion within 3 days of applying. Kittens under 4 months must go to a home with another friendly feline, or be adopted with a buddy. (If a kitten is excluded from this rule, it will be noted in their profile.)

TO ADOPT, ONE MUST Have current photo identification with your current address Be willing and able to spend the time & money needed to care for your cat Carefully read the terms of our Adoption Contract and agree to its terms. Agree that if they cannot keep the cat they have adopted from St. Sophia’s, they must return the cat to us Agree to allow an authorized representative of St. Sophia’s to make an adoption follow-up THE PROCESS Adopting should never be an impulse decision — pets are for life. We respectfully ask that you come fully prepared to take on the care of a cat prior to filling out an application. On average, owning a cat costs $40 a month (food/litter/health), which is $480 annually. Cats (especially kittens) take lots of time, dedication, and love to grow and develop into loving and healthy household pets. Because we at St. Sophia’s pride ourselves in knowing our cats, we want what’s best for them, and to ensure they are going to good homes we conduct reference checks (personal and veterinary) in addition to the basic application. Please expect the adoption process to take at least 24 hours, and when your adoption is finalized, you’ll need to bring a carrier to take your new pet home in.
