Vanessa's Story
Vanessa is a gentle female Domestic Shorthair, born in April 2024, with a quiet spirit and a heart full of love. She was found as a stray while caring for a litter of newborn kittensshowing just how devoted and nurturing she truly is. Now that her babies are grown, its finally Vanessas turn to be cared for and cherished. Vanessa has a shy and quiet nature and might do best a calm, indoor-only home where she can feel safe and take her time adjusting. With patience and kindness, she will slowly come out of her shell and form a strong bond with her people. With slow, proper introductions, Vanessa could possibly live with other cats, dogs, or children, but a more peaceful environment will help her confidence grow. If you have a soft spot for a gentle soul who just needs a little time and understanding, Vanessa is ready to find a home where she can relax, feel safe, and finally be someones beloved companion. Vanessa has been spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped, wormed, and tested negative for FIV/FelV.

Note: To adopt, you must live within approximately 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld or Springfield IL), and be at least 18 years of age.

Note: Vanessa is currently at Petco in Springfield.
